A quick and tasty fusion of crispy smashed chicken patties and fresh Caesar salad, all wrapped in warm tortillas for a fun twist on taco night.

Ingredients

500 g ground chicken

2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

8 small flour tortillas

½ head romaine lettuce, chopped

⅓ cup Caesar dressing

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  2. Divide into 8 portions, roll into loose balls, and place on a hot, lightly oiled skillet. Press each into a thin patty with a spatula.
  3. Cook patties over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (165 °F / 74 °C internal temperature).
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry pan or microwave until soft.
  5. Toss chopped romaine with Caesar dressing until evenly coated.
  6. Place a chicken patty on each tortilla, top with dressed romaine, and sprinkle with parmesan.
  7. Serve immediately while warm and fresh.

Notes

For crispier patties, ensure the pan is hot before pressing the chicken.

Corn tortillas can be used; warm well before serving.

To make low-carb, use lettuce wraps instead of tortillas.

Prepare patties ahead of time and cook just before serving.

Pecorino Romano or Asiago can replace parmesan.
