Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 ¼ cups beef broth

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 ½ cups frozen mixed vegetables

1 ½ cups frozen corn

1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon molasses

Instructions

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

  • Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes, until softened.

  • Stir in garlic powder, basil, beef broth, and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer.

  • Add frozen mixed vegetables, corn, soy sauce, and molasses. Stir to combine.

  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and vegetables to heat through.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning with more soy sauce or basil if desired.

  • Serve hot and enjoy!
