Pigs in a blanket are a classic, crowd-pleasing snack featuring savory sausages wrapped in soft, buttery dough. Perfect for parties, game days, or as a fun appetizer, these bite-sized treats are quick to assemble and always disappear fast. Topped with everything bagel seasoning, they have a golden, flavorful finish.

Ingredients

1 package premade, cooked sausages, cut into 1-inch sections

12 packages crescent roll dough (depending on quantity)

1 egg, stirred, plus 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)

12 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles; cut into smaller sections if needed.
  3. Place a sausage piece at the wide end of each dough triangle and roll up toward the tip.
  4. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  5. Brush with egg wash for a glossy finish.
  6. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning evenly over the top.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes, until dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Raw sausages can be used, but bake a few extra minutes to ensure doneness.

Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.

Skipping the egg wash reduces glossiness.

Gluten-free dough can be used, adjusting baking time as needed.

Freeze unbaked portions for up to 2 months; bake from frozen with extra 3–5 minutes.
