Pasta Chips are a fun, crunchy snack that transforms pasta into crispy, flavorful chips. Perfect for dipping or snacking on their own, they are seasoned with parmesan, Italian herbs, and a touch of red pepper flakes for a burst of flavor.

Ingredients

1 lb. farfalle pasta or similar

1½ tablespoons olive oil

½ cup finely grated parmesan cheese

1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, following the package instructions (about 10-12 minutes). Drain the pasta and let it cool for a few minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta with olive oil, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Spread the pasta in a single layer on a baking sheet. Ensure that the pasta pieces are spread out evenly so they cook uniformly.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pasta turns golden and crispy, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with parsley if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade pasta chips!

Notes

Try different cheese options like Romano, Asiago, or a mozzarella-cheddar blend for a new twist.

Add extra herbs like basil, oregano, or thyme for variety.

For a spicy version, increase the red pepper flakes or add cayenne pepper.

For a vegan version, omit the parmesan and use a plant-based cheese alternative.
