Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

½ cup natural peanut butter

¼ cup honey or maple syrup

¼ cup dark chocolate chips (optional for topping)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Pinch of salt (if using unsalted peanut butter)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  • Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup, or a pinch of salt if using unsalted peanut butter.

  • If you’re adding chocolate chips, fold them into the mixture.

  • Roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls, about 1 tablespoon each.

  • Place the rolled bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet or tray.

  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the bites to firm up.

  • Once chilled, enjoy the bites immediately or store them in an airtight container.

Notes

Sweeteners: Feel free to substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup for a vegan-friendly option.

Texture Adjustments: If the mixture is too dry, add a little more peanut butter or honey/maple syrup until it holds together well.

Add-ins: Customize with chia seeds, flax seeds, or dried fruit like cranberries or raisins for added flavor and texture.
