Mint Limeade, also known as a Virgin Mojito, is a refreshing non-alcoholic drink made with fresh lime juice, aromatic mint, and a touch of sweetness. This simple yet flavorful mocktail is perfect for hot days, family gatherings, or any time you’re craving a cool, citrusy beverage. It’s easy to make, customizable, and sure to be a hit at any occasion!
For the Mint Simple Syrup:
1 cup sugar (cane sugar works best)
1 cup water
1 cup fresh mint leaves
For the Mint Limeade (Virgin Mojito):
2–3 cups ice
Mint simple syrup (prepared above)
1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice
2–3 cups water
For the Mint Simple Syrup:
Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add fresh mint leaves and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat and let steep for 10-15 minutes.
Strain syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove mint leaves.
Let syrup cool to room temperature and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
For the Mint Limeade (Virgin Mojito):
In a pitcher, combine 1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice with 2–3 tablespoons of mint simple syrup. Adjust sweetness to taste.
Add 2–3 cups water and stir to combine.
Fill glasses with ice and pour limeade over ice. Stir gently.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves or lime slices if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less mint simple syrup to your taste.
You can make the mint simple syrup ahead of time and store it for up to a week.
For a fizzy version, add sparkling water instead of regular water.
