The Mint Julep Mocktail is a refreshing, non-alcoholic version of the classic Mint Julep. Made with homemade mint simple syrup, lemonade, and sparkling water, it’s a perfect drink for any occasion. Ingredients

For the Mint Simple Syrup:

2/3 cup water

2/3 cup sugar

1 cup fresh mint leaves

For Each Mint Julep Mocktail:

Crushed ice

12 tablespoons mint simple syrup (1/21 oz.)

1/3 cup lemonade (2 2/3 oz.)

1/3 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda (2 2/3 oz.)

For Garnish:

Fresh mint leaves

Lemon slice

For a Pitcher of Mint Juleps:

35 cups crushed ice

1 batch mint simple syrup (as described above)

3 cups lemonade

3 cups sparkling water or lemon-lime soda

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

For the Mint Simple Syrup:

  1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Add fresh mint leaves and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and set aside to cool.

For Each Mint Julep Mocktail:

  1. Fill a glass with crushed ice.

  2. Add 1–2 tablespoons of mint simple syrup.

  3. Pour in 1/3 cup lemonade and 1/3 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.

  4. Stir gently to combine.

  5. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a lemon slice.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

For a Pitcher of Mint Juleps:

  1. Combine mint simple syrup, lemonade, and sparkling water or lemon-lime soda in a large pitcher.

  2. Add crushed ice and stir well.

  3. Garnish with fresh mint and lemon slices.

  4. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less mint simple syrup.

Make the mint simple syrup in advance and store in the fridge for up to a week.

To serve a crowd, multiply the ingredients for a pitcher of Mint Juleps.
