Lemon BBQ Chicken, or Fire Chicken, is a zesty grilled chicken dish featuring juicy chicken breasts marinated in fresh lemon juice and a smoky blend of paprika, basil, thyme, and garlic. This vibrant, flavorful recipe is perfect for summer cookouts or easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

6 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 cup vegetable or canola oil

½ cup lemon juice

1 tablespoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

2 teaspoons dried basil

2 teaspoons onion powder

½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Make marinade: Whisk vegetable oil, lemon juice, salt, paprika, basil, onion powder, thyme, and garlic powder in a large bowl.

  • Marinate chicken: Add chicken breasts, coat well, cover, and refrigerate 1-4 hours.

  • Preheat grill: Heat grill to medium-high.

  • Cook chicken: Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill 6-8 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
