A soothing and aromatic beverage that combines the delicate floral notes of lavender with the creaminess of milk, creating a calming and refreshing drink perfect for relaxation.

Ingredients

2 tbsp dried culinary lavender

2 cups water

2 cups milk (any kind you prefer)

Honey or sugar (optional, adjust according to taste)

Vanilla extract (optional, to enhance flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, add the dried lavender flowers to the water and reduce the heat. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, allowing the lavender to infuse the water.
  3. Strain out the lavender flowers using a fine-mesh sieve and return the infused water to the saucepan.
  4. Add the milk to the lavender-infused water and heat over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to bring it to a boil.
  5. If desired, stir in honey or sugar to sweeten the tea, adjusting the amount to your taste.
  6. Add a drop of vanilla extract for extra flavor, if desired.
  7. Once the milk is heated to your liking, remove from heat and pour into cups.
  8. Serve hot, or chill the mixture for an iced version. Enjoy!

Notes

For an iced version, simply cool the mixture after preparing it and pour it over ice.

Use almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk for a dairy-free alternative.

Add a sprig of fresh mint or a slice of lemon to the tea for an added herbal twist.

Maple syrup or agave nectar can be used instead of honey or sugar for a natural sweetness.

If you prefer stronger lavender flavor, steep the lavender for a longer period or increase the amount of lavender.
