Homemade half and half is a simple, versatile dairy blend combining the richness of cream with the lightness of milk. Perfect for coffee, tea, baking, or creamy sauces, it’s fresher, customizable, and free of unnecessary additives.

Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream

1 cup milk (whole or reduced-fat)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl or measuring cup, combine the heavy cream and milk.
  2. Whisk gently until fully blended and smooth.
  3. Use immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  4. Shake or stir before each use, as natural separation may occur.

Notes

For a lighter version, use 2% or skim milk with heavy cream.
