Ingredients

½ cup butter

¼ cup maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 ½ cups rolled oats

¼ cup almond butter or peanut butter

¼ cup ground flaxseed

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a bowl in the microwave. Once melted, whisk in the maple syrup and vanilla extract until well combined.

  • Add all remaining ingredients to the bowl (except for the chocolate chips). Mix well to combine, ensuring everything is evenly incorporated.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

  • Taste the mixture and adjust the flavor. For extra sweetness, add more maple syrup or granulated sugar as desired.

  • Place the mixture in the fridge for about 20 minutes to firm up and allow the flavors to meld.

  • Once chilled, transfer the mixture into bowls or roll into small bite-sized balls.

Notes

Sweeteners: You can substitute maple syrup with honey or agave syrup if needed.

Nut Butters: Cashew butter or sunflower seed butter can be used as alternatives to almond or peanut butter.

Add-ins: For more flavor, consider adding dried fruits, chia seeds, or pumpkin seeds.
