This Easy Pimento Cheese Recipe is a creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy Southern classic made with sharp cheddar, cream cheese, and diced pimentos. Perfect as a dip, sandwich spread, or snack, it combines simple ingredients for a rich, flavorful spread that’s ready in minutes without cooking.

Ingredients

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

8 oz block cream cheese (softened or room temperature)

4 oz jar diced pimentos (drained)

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 seeded and diced jalapeño (optional)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth and well blended.

  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, diced pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.

  • Add diced jalapeño if you prefer extra spice, and mix well.

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.

  • Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour to let flavors meld.

  • Serve chilled as a spread for crackers, sandwiches, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.

Add chopped green onions or chives for extra flavor.

Use pepper jack cheese instead of sharp cheddar for more heat.

Mix in hot sauce for additional spice.

Serve melted over toast or baked as a dip.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheating is not recommended.
