Classic Italian Spicy Meatballs are juicy, flavorful, and packed with a perfect balance of heat and herbs. 6 oz ground beef
6 oz spicy ground Italian sausage
1 egg
1/2 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 slice white bread, crusts removed and shredded
1/3 cup Italian seasoned panko breadcrumbs
2 tbsp Italian parsley, finely chopped
1.5 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sausage, egg, onion, garlic, shredded bread, and panko breadcrumbs.
Add parsley, crushed red pepper, salt, and black pepper; mix gently but thoroughly.
Shape into 1.5-inch meatballs.
Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
Brown meatballs on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Transfer skillet to oven and bake 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
