These Cinnamon Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips are a crunchy, sweet snack made with just a few simple ingredients. They’re perfectly crisp and satisfy your sweet tooth without the need for deep frying, making them a healthy treat.

Ingredients

2 ripe but firm bananas

1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Make sure the slices are uniform to ensure even cooking.
  2. Coat the Banana Slices: In a small bowl, combine the melted coconut oil, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir to mix well. Dip each banana slice into the mixture, ensuring both sides are coated evenly.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the Banana Slices: Place the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to work in batches to avoid overcrowding the basket.
  5. Air Fry: Air fry the banana chips at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes. Check the chips halfway through, flipping them over if needed for even crispness. The banana chips should be golden brown and crispy when done.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the banana chips cool for a few minutes before serving. They will crisp up even more as they cool down.

Notes

If you prefer a sweeter chip, drizzle extra maple syrup or honey over the chips after cooking.

For added texture, mix toasted coconut flakes with the cinnamon sugar before coating the banana slices.

If you want a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cinnamon sugar mixture.

These chips store well for up to 3 days in an airtight container at room temperature.

If the chips lose their crispiness, reheat them in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to restore their crunch.
