Chopped Cheeseburger Biscuits are a fun, flavorful twist on cheeseburgers, combining seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar, and flaky biscuits into an irresistible dish. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this easy-to-make meal will satisfy your cheeseburger cravings.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 (8 count) tube Pillsbury biscuits

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 small onion (chopped)

Seasoning to taste (I use Montreal Steak seasoning)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add the chopped onion and cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Drain any excess grease from the skillet, then stir in your preferred seasoning (Montreal Steak seasoning works well).
  4. Remove the skillet from the heat and set it aside.
  5. Open the tube of Pillsbury biscuits and separate them. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your fingers or a rolling pin to create a small “boat.”
  6. Place the flattened biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Spoon the cooked ground beef mixture evenly over the biscuits, leaving a little edge around the sides.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each biscuit.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.

Reheat in the microwave or in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 5-7 minutes until warmed through.

If you want extra cheeseburger flavor, try adding pickles on top before baking.

For a spicier version, sprinkle chili flakes or hot sauce over the beef mixture before adding cheese.

If you prefer a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
