Caramel Apple Fudge blends rich caramel, sweet apple, and creamy fudge for a perfect fall treat. With hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, this indulgent dessert is simple to make and irresistibly delicious.
2 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 cup apple cider
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups white chocolate chips
7 ounces marshmallow cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup dried apple slices, chopped
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Set it aside.
In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, brown sugar, butter, evaporated milk, and apple cider. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the butter melts.
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, white chocolate chips, and marshmallow cream. Stir until the mixture becomes smooth and the chocolate chips have melted.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and chopped dried apple slices.
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Let the fudge cool at room temperature for about 2 hours, or refrigerate for quicker setting. Once set, cut into squares and serve.
Storage: Store leftover fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or freeze wrapped individual squares.
Variations:
Apple Pie Fudge: Use apple pie spice instead of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Caramel Swirl: Drizzle caramel sauce over the fudge before setting.
Nutty Version: Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
Substitutes: You can use regular milk instead of evaporated milk, and swap the white chocolate chips for dark or milk chocolate chips.
