Baked sweet potato fries with a crispy exterior and a tender, sweet interior, infused with garlic and rosemary for a savory twist. A healthier alternative to traditional fries, perfect as a side dish or snack.

Ingredients

3 medium sweet potatoes, peeled

2 garlic cloves (inside the skin)

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 sprigs fresh rosemary

Flaky sea salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Slice the sweet potatoes into thin fries, making sure they are uniform in size for even cooking.
  3. Place the sweet potato fries on a large baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the fries, ensuring they are well coated. Toss the fries around a bit to make sure they are evenly coated with oil.
  5. Place the garlic cloves (still in their skin) and rosemary sprigs on the baking sheet alongside the fries.
  6. Roast the fries in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  7. Once golden and crispy, remove from the oven and sprinkle with flaky sea salt to taste.
  8. Serve hot, and enjoy your perfectly baked sweet potato fries!

Notes

For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet and flip the fries halfway through cooking.

To make ahead, peel and slice the sweet potatoes, but bake fresh for the best texture.

Use an air fryer for a quicker cooking method: cook at 375°F for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
