Ingredients

4 salmon filets (about 6 ounces each)

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil OR avocado oil

1 teaspoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed or bottled)

1½ teaspoons kosher salt OR sea salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

  • In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

  • Pat the salmon filets dry with paper towels, ensuring no excess moisture.

  • Brush the salmon filets with the olive oil mixture on both sides.

  • Place the salmon filets in the air fryer basket, skin side down if the skin is on.

  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and flakes easily with a fork.

  • Carefully remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

Herb Variation: Swap Italian seasoning for fresh/dried thyme, rosemary, or dill.

Spicy Version: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for a kick.

Lemon Zest: Sprinkle freshly grated lemon zest over the salmon for more lemon flavor.
