This refreshing 5-Minute Root Vegetable & Celery Juice combines the natural sweetness of carrots, beets, and apple with the zesty freshness of ginger and lemon, balanced perfectly by crisp celery stalks. It’s a nutrient-packed juice perfect for a quick energy boost or a detoxifying beverage rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 2 medium carrots
  • 2 small beets
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 thumb fresh ginger (or to taste)

Fruits

  • 1 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 small lemon (peeled)

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Thoroughly wash all the vegetables and fruits. Peel the lemon to remove the rind and seeds but keep the pulp. Trim the ends of the celery stalks and peel the fresh ginger if the skin is thick.
  2. Chop for juicing: Cut the carrots, beets, apple, and celery into smaller chunks that will fit easily into your juicer chute. This ensures smooth juicing without clogging.
  3. Juice the ingredients: Using a cold-press or centrifugal juicer, feed the chopped carrots, beets, celery, apple, ginger, and lemon through the juicer. Collect the juice in a clean container or glass.
  4. Mix and serve: Stir the juice well to combine flavors uniformly. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately for maximum freshness and nutrient retention.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of ginger.
  • If you don’t have a juicer, you can blend the ingredients and strain the pulp for a similar effect.
  • Use organic produce when possible to avoid pesticides in your juice.
  • Drink juice immediately after preparation to enjoy optimal nutrient benefits as some vitamins degrade upon exposure to air.
  • Adjust the lemon quantity based on your preferred tartness level.
